The rankings for young riders are compiled by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) and exist alongside the broader Longines Rankings, currently headed up by last weekend’s World Cup Final winner, Steve Guerdat of Switzerland. Allen himself is ranked 27th in the world overall and is entered to compete in Mexico City this weekend for the second leg of the 2019 Longines Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League.

The top American in the current rankings is Lucy Deslauriers, in fourth, while Eve Jobs is into the top-ranked group in 10th. Fellow Americans Mattias Tromp, Michael Hughes, Spencer Smith, and Lucas and Wilton Porter come next in the classification.

Meanwhile, American Kelli Cruciotti dropped several spots in the rankings to 26th, but the list was released before last weekend’s Final in Gothenburg, where she finished 16th, just behind Jobs. Kara Chad is the highest-ranked Canadian, in 29th.

The current top-ranked riders are as follows:

Bertram Allen (Ireland)

  1. Jos Verlooy (Belgium)
  2. Daniel Coyle (Ireland)
  3. Lucy Deslauriers (USA)
  4. Maurice Tebbel (Germany)
  5. Eugenio Garza Perez (Mexico)
  6. Edward Levy (France)
  7. Lisa Nooren (The Netherlands)
  8. Kevin Jochems (The Netherlands)
  9. Eve Jobs (USA)       The full list is here.
