Michael Jung to miss Kentucky Three-Day

With the 2019 CCI5*-L Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event scheduled for a little over two months from now, one (very) high-profile rider has announced he will not be competing this year.

Three-time winner from 2015–17 with fischerRocana FST and runner-up to Great Britain’s Oliver Townend last year, Germany’s Michael Jung wrote on social media this week (below) that, “sadly I will be not competing at this fantastic event in 2019.” No further details were given in the post. Jung recently welcomed the mount Chipmunk FRH to his stables, previously ridden by compatriot Julia Krajewski.

See here for a video of Michael Jung doing a course walk at Burghley in 2016–17. Instagram post below.
