Big names in big $391,000 Grand Prix at WEF this weekend

This weekend, Week 5 of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida continues with, notably, the FEI CSI5* $391,000 Fidelity Investments Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon.

Scheduled to begin around 12:15 p.m. local time Saturday in the International Arena at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, the prestigious class will feature a large group of high-level competitors.

Among them: Lorenzo de Luca, Harrie Smolders, Kent Farrington (with Gazelle), Daniel Coyle, Georgina Bloomberg, Martin Fuchs, Shane Sweetnam, and Margie Engle. Also entered is Canadian Erynn Ballard with her mount Darko’s Promise, who won a big class together Thursday at the show and will later compete for her country at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup USA from February 14–17 at Deeridge Farms.
