A look back at this weekend's Global Champions Prague Playoffs

“We had an incredible show. I have done this sport already a few years and I never saw something like this before. It’s great for the sport and we’re very happy to be a part of it."

That was top German rider Marcus Ehning commenting on this past weekend's Global Champions Prague Playoffs, which featured the inagural show jumping playoffs for the team-based GC League, as well as the Super Grand Prix for the Longines Global Champions Tour.

In the GCL Super Cup Final, it was the Madrid in Motion squad of Marc Houtzager, Maikel van der Vleuten and Eduardo Alvarez Aznar which claimed victory. See here for more. On Saturday evening, Australian Edwina Tops-Alexander topped the podium in the individual Super Grand Prix, continuing her recent string of victories, with California.

Next year, the CSI5* show jumping series will expand to 20 legs across the world, including a new stop in Montreal, Canada.
