World eventing rankings hold steady

As expected, the latest world eventing rankings look a lot like the last ones.

In the sport, there are almost no major competitions taking place in the (northern hemisphere) winter, except indoor crosses (CIX) which do not count for points. With minor exceptions, then, the current hierarchy is the same as last month, with Great Britain’s Oliver Townend retaining the top spot. Townend, whose Cooley SRS was sold to buyers in Australia recently, is still ahead of his compatriot, Individual and Team World Champion in Tryon Rosalind Canter. Tim Price rounds out the trio ahead of Germany’s Michael Jung, who will return to competition this weekend. The top American is Phillip Dutton in 10th.
