The adventure began for the riders and horses in the CSIYH* at the GRANDPRIX CLASSIC Spring Break in May. At the end of that first weekend, Taisie de Gruchy and Live the Life had taken the lead in the Challenge with a total of 250 points, thanks to their victory in the CSIYH* Grand Prix.

Making her entrance during the second stage of the competition at the GRANDPRIX CLASSIC Summer Tour in July, British rider Jessica Dimmock didn't waste any time showing what she is capable of. Dimmock won the Challenge riding her mare Billy Fleance, taking the lead over riders who had participated in the first stage with a score of 545 points. With Jessica Dimmock absent, French rider Alexis Deroubaix and Baracat d’Anchat (second in the Challenge at the end of GRANDPRIX CLASSIC Summer Tour) jumped to the top of the Challenge leaderboard at the opening of the LONGINES DEAUVILLE CLASSIC. But in the end, a fall deprived Deroubaix of the victory in the PremiuMares Challenge for 7-year-olds, opening the way for Frédéric Lagrange and Bergame de l'Yserand to clinch the victory with 627 points.

The French rider was rewarded with a 4–5 day stay at a villa in Greece, a prize generously offered by PremiuMares! We wish Frédéric Lagrange happy holidays and we look forward to seeing you next year for a new edition of the Challenge!
