Ward Retires Rothchild

Showjumper McLain Ward has decided to send his successful horse Rothchild to a well-deserved retirement. At the end of September, the official retirement ceremony of the chestnut stallion is to be celebrated.

The 17-year-old stallion Rothchild, bred in Belgium and originally named Rothchild du Bosquetiau, is one of the big stars in show jumping. Over the course of his career, which he spent to a great extent under the saddle of the American McLain Ward, he has jumped a total of more than one million euros together. Rothchild (Artos Z x Elegant de L'ille) garnered victories in CSI5 * exams like other equine E-level bows. Whether at Nations Cups or tournaments at the highest level: Rothchild was always good for a win. Now the stallion, who was successful together with McLain Ward in Parcours until last year, should retire. Of course with splendor and glory. The official farewell will take place at the American Gold Cup (September 26th to 30th in North Salem).
