Pessoa's thoughts on athlete representation at the FEI

Rodrigo Pessoa’s term as the current FEI Athlete Representative for the discipline of jumping is about to come to an end, and the voting phase for the 2018-2022 Athlete Representative is now open as part of the broader electoral process at the Fédération Équestre Internationale. The International Jumping Riders Club has published a short interview (below) with the Olympic champion rider regarding his view of the role.

The names of the new candidates up for election to become FEI Athlete Representative were announced on the 8th of May: The IJRC presents the candidature of Mrs Lisen Bratt Fredricson (SWE). The Irish National Federation presents the candidature of Mr Cian O’Connor (IRL). The other two candidacies are: Mr Sanjay BAGAI (IND) and Mr Nicolas Pizarro Suarez (MEX). The current members of the various FEI committees are here.
