While the next CSIO5* Nations Cup qualifier for the North and Central American and Caribbean region is set for Coapexpan, Mexico on April 22, some top Show Jumping riders will be taking part in the $150,000 FEI Nations Cup CSIO4* this weekend at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida.

After Canada’s victory in the first of three 5* qualifiers last month in Ocala, one of their squad's stalwarts, Ian Millar, is entered in the 4* competition alongside his son Jonathon, Ben Asselin and Erynn Ballard. The full list of pairs which was under consideration by Equestrian Canada Manager of Jumping, Karen Hendry-Ouellette and Chef d’Équipe, Mark Laskin is here.The United States will also have a mix of veterans and youth in its group this weekend: Beezie Madden, Lillie Keenan, Adrienne Sternlicht and Catherine Tyree. Other high-level riders like Shane Sweetnam are also on the start list for the event at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The full list is here. The FEI Nations Cup team competition will serve as the main event for WEF’s popular Saturday Night Lights series on Saturday, March 3, beginning at 7:00 p.m. EST.At the CSIO5* level, the third and final official qualifier in the region after Coapexpan will be Langley, British Columbia in Canada on Sunday, June 3. Two teams will make it out of the region to qualify for the global Longines FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona, scheduled for October 4-7.
