Fair Hill To Increase Prize Money

The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day event will host the U.S. Equestrian CCI3* and CCI2* Fall Eventing Championships and the Young Event Horse East Coast Championships when it returns to the beautiful Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area in Fair Hill, Maryland, October 12-15. Competitors in the CCI3* and CCI2* will vie for top honors and prize money which has been increased from $15,000 to $50,000.

The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International hosts one of the most prestigious international three-day events in the world and draws a top-level field of international stars and Olympic veterans. In addition to hosting world-class equestrian competition, Fair Hill provides a venue for spectators to enjoy a weekend of outstanding shopping and entertainment. Spectators can experience the excitement of the competition, view numerous demonstrations and enjoy fantastic food, a Craft Beer and Sports Expo, shopping in numerous country and equestrian vendor shops, children's activities and more.

This past July, the U.S. Equestrian (USEF) Board of Directors approved Fair Hill International as the new venue for an autumn CCI4*, the highest level of eventing competition, scheduled for 2019. When approved by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), the new CCI4* event would join the Kentucky Three-Day Event as the only two CCI4* events in the Western Hemisphere and would mark just the seventh CCI4* on the FEI global calendar.

"Our commitment in building this event to be a first-class experience for every competitor, horse, and spectator is our top priority," said Carla Geiersbach, Executive Director of Fair Hill International. "With the partnership we have with our sponsors and community, we are able to elevate the standard of competition and provide a truly unique and VIP experience for all who attend."
