Canada's Historic Dressage Victory

Canada won its first ever Dressage Nations Cup Thursday, taking the CDIO3* over the United States and Spain after two days of team competition.  

As reported by Dressage News, the Canadian husband and wife small tour pairs team of Jaimey Irwin on Donegal V and Tina Irwin on Laurencio and the Big Tour combinations of Olympic pairs Megan Lane and Caravella and Jill Irving and Degas captured the country’s historic gold.

The all-Grand Prix American team was took silver. It is their the first loss in Wellington since the first Nations Cup outside Europe started being staged at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in 2013. 

The final team results were: 1. Canada 434.528; 2. USA 432.661; Spain 397.690.
