Graves Leads in Earnings as Top Judge retires

As reported by Dressage News, American Olympic team bronze medalist Laura Graves is leading the Adequan Global Dressage Festival prize money standings three weeks into the competition schedule.

Graves and her 15-year-old bay gelding Verdades have competed in two CDIs so far this season in Wellington, Florida, winning both. In the CDI5* Grand Prix on Thursday and Friday, the combination captured the title with a score of 82.000. The win was worth $42,400 and combines with their winnings of $6,600 in the World Cup CDIW in Wellington in late January, for a total of $49,000.

In other news out of Wellington, top ranked FEI 5* judge Cara Whitham of Canada wrapped up her career at the festival on Sunday with her last competition. Whitham was named to the highest judge level in both dressage and eventing in 2004, Dressage News explains — the only judge at that level in both disciplines at the time.
