Isabell Werth #1, 11 & 81... U.S. in 4th & 7th

It’s a hat-trick for Germany’s Isabell Werth.

The Olympic Dressage Champion has retained her No.1 World ranking with Rio Games partner Weihegold OLD, risen to No. 11 with Emilio and made a huge leap from 278th to 81st on Don Johnson.

The top American Dressage rider is Laura Graves of Geneva, Florida on Verdades, holding at No. 4, with Steffen Peters of San Diego, California on Legolas in seventh spot.

Werth’s Olympic team mates Kristina Bröring-Sprehe on Desperados FRH and Dorothee Schneider on Showtime FRH are ranked second and third, respectively.

As Dressage News reports, most changes in the latest top 50 of the 820 ranked pairs in the world are relatively minor, the biggest jump being the German 2012 Olympic pair of Anabel Balkenhol on Dablino FRH vaulting up to 27th from 71st.

Charlotte Dujardin, the most successful British dressage rider in the history of the sport with numerous Olympic gold medals and world and European golds, will be ranked 42nd in the world with Valegro when the champion horse retires  the London Olympia show later this month. The pair has regularly led world rankings over recent years.
