Equestrian Canada in Vancouver for 2017 Convention

Equestrian Canada (EC) will head to Vancouver, British Columbia for its 2017 Convention. The event will take place from April 6-9, 2017.

The EC's Annual Convention is its landmark event, with world class speakers, workshops, clinics and networking opportunities. Some of the events planned include sessions on scientific evidence-based equine training, concussion awareness, hands-on coaching and officials’ workshops with demo riders.
The convention will also receive cross-country federation reports on EC activities and achievements over the previous 12 months, as well as an opportunity for the equestrian community to provide input on the future of equestrian sport and industry in Canada.

Equestrian sports in Canada have had both positive and negative highlights this year, including the Olympic team's excellent performance in Rio as well as the loss of the 2018 World Equestrian Games, which were initially set to take place in Bromont, Quebec.

EC is partnering with Horse Council British Columbia (HCBC) to put on the conference and will announce more details about the agenda later.
