Ward, Farrington, Davis Jump for Individual Medals at Rio

American riders McLain Ward, Kent Farrington and Lucy Davis have qualified to jump for individual medals at the Rio Olympics on August 19. All these riders won the team silver medal, with teammate Beezie Madden, who withdrew her mount Cortes C, after a tendon injury and will not jump tomorrow.

Thirty five horses passed the final inspection on Thursday August 18. The Individual final will begin at 10 a.m. local time at Deodoro’s National Equestrian Center in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. All riders will start on zero penalities.

The final consists of two rounds, A and B. The entire start list will jump Round A, and the top 20 combinations will return to jump Round B.

There will be a jumpoff if scores for Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals are tied.

Davis and Barron jump 18th, Ward and Azur go 27th, and Farrington and Voyeur will be 32nd in the ring.

NBC is live streaming the final, and you can access it here: http://stream.nbcolympics.com/equestrian-individual-jumping-finals
