Werth And Don Johnson Supreme in Qatar
The unstoppable force that is Germany's Isabell Werth continued to carry all of the dressage world before her with another scintilating performance last night, this time at Al Shaqab CDI5*, Qatar.
Her score of 81.275% on Don Johnson was enough to keep her ahed of two Danish riders, Catherine Dufour and Anna Kasprzak, mainly due to the scoring of the Danish judge at H, Lief Toernblad, whose overmark for the German superstar was 5% higher than the other judges for that combination, only Andrew Gardiner of Great Britain agreeing that Werth was the best. The other three judges all had Dufour as the winner. The win earned Werth a €37'000 payout.
Carl Hester was best of the two British entrants, finishing 7th on Wanado, while Hayley Watson-Greaves was 9th with Rubin's Nite. The full result is here
